So far I agree with all of the above. Free, allow, in love. happiness, plus tolerance, acceptance, equallity and NOT based in religious beliefs.

So many traditions are being challenged, modified, or just completely dropped altogether that our society should have no problem with gay marriage. To stand on "traditional family values" is about as viable as America's political climate -- both are simply ghosts, lost in the hurricane maelstrom of societal change. People have the right to be together, regardless of sex or sexual orientation, and marriage provides important documentation as well as social statement.

I personaly am in favor of same sex unions.Which is the same as marriage without the word marriage.If all the laws that apply to heterosexuals applied to us I would have at least 30 common law wives that were men.

Life is like those multi-packs of breakfast cereals. Everyday you wake up and try something different for breakfast than what you had the day before; fruit loops one day frosted flakes the next yada yada. Marriage is what happens when you decide to pick one brand and stick with it. Every day the same thing; frosted flakes frosted flakes frosted flakes frosted flakes frosted flakes frosted flakes frosted flakes. The problem is one day you wake up and realize you dont like frosted flakes any more. Too bad, its the only think in the pantry. I oppose all marriage but that doesn't mean I am going to keep you from getting married. But look buddy, during football season I better not hear any excuses about the significant other wanting to go shopping when the game in on.

Honestly I don't care wether gay folks want to be married or not. Bu there ain no friggen way some one is going to force my vote. Makes me angry when folks politic this crap.

I am opposed to same-sex marriage. I am opposed to opposite-sex marriage. I am opposed to any laws that set the stage for people to earn benefits (such as lower-cost health care, lower taxes, and other perquisties) based on their marital status. Period.

I am in favor of same sex marriage for several reasons. Besides the ones already mentioned, there is the financial reasons. It's nice that benefits from work can be shared, ie health insurance, as that can be a big savings. But the more delicate issue is that after years together and the building of personal assets, when one member passes away the communal property should pass tax free to the other as in hetero marriage. At a time of grief, it is like the surviving member when they are slammed with inheritance taxes, which between federal and state can add up to a considerable sum. I know my state, which doesn't have same sex marriage, nails the 'non-relative' nearly 20%. It is not fair that a couple that has worked hard to build their assets so they may comfortably enjoy retirement be subject to this when their counterparts are not. There should be equality across the board.

i don't believe in same sex marriage,you don't need a certificate of marriage to be legal,all of the legal crap can can be settled with attorney's.MARRIAGE IS FOR PRO CREATING,and raising children to continue society,and it takes a male,and a female to complete the circle..my wife was 16,and i was 18. we both felt our daughter deserve 2 parents,unlike what we went through,and it was no cake walk,and that was 51 years ago,and we are still married.i think civil unions between same sex is fine,and should have the same privileges as married couples,especially legal rights to each others personal business,but not marriage.

I do not believe in discrimination, no matter what the form! I believe in equal rights for everyone, or, at least everyone treated fairly,which does not happen. When you treat people differently based on who or what they are, then the entire society is a failure, and thats exactly what we have today; a society that discriminates in many forms. Marriage should be available for all, not matter the situation. Also, marriage is NOT entirely a religious function!

It is my belief that when I arrived upon earth i have choices in life and I believe thta whatever choice any one makes then that is their choice and there is no way any other person is suppose to interfere with business that does not concern them. Everybody is not a friend but anyone thta knows anyone should respectnthe facts that one must try to respect anyone for who they are and not for what THEY want them to be. To many narrowminded people in a world that has changed considerably. So if you feel relaxed and in love then do what you got to do and live life with the one you chose to love and marry. Life is to short to allow others curtail it any further.......live, love, like what you do and choose.......have great sex fun and marriage.....
