'cold hearted orb that rules the the night,
removes the colours from our sight.
red is grey and yellow white,
but we decide which is right.
and which is an illusion?'

do you remember that band called 'the moody shoes' ?
they pretended they were str8.
oh please...knights in white satin, wearing high heels...

of course, back in 1970, we had ray davies and the kinks...
no pretense there...

'well i'm not the world's most masculine man...
but i know what i am and i'm glad i'm a man...
and so is lola...'

in 1972, there was lou reed...

'Holly came from miami f.l.a.
Hitch-hiked her way across the u.s.a.

Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her legs and then he was a she
She says, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side,
with me...'

i do like to think back on the days when i tried to pretend i was straight...

i didn't fool me...

thanks guys,
for helping me feel good about myself.

Hey jobro,

My vote goes for the version of Walk on the Wild Side that lou recorded for his Take No Prisoners album. The live recording done in a small NYC club with the song running around 10 minutes and Lou telling the ture story that he turned into the song. Next song track on the album is I Wanna Be Black and it's a damn fine version of that song.

BUT my friend, you gotta stop talking to yourself!!!

cheers... rainmaker

Y'all better get out yer old music books
an' stop all this rock and roll talk.
The type of cuntry fusion I'm look'en fer
will feature the tunes of muddy waters.

Y'all hear? Harvey

Hey there jobro,

I had a little sit down with my some what dilusional +6 ft. rabbit this evening and explained to him that "muddy waters" IS ROCK AND ROLL. In fact part of the very roots of same. I think Harvey should leave the music to you and concentrate on the star stage presence thing. What say?
