Is having preferences almost the same as labeling? Jan 21, 2012 11:46 am

In my last blog, some of you responded that labels are wrong and shouldn't be put on a person, but what about preferences? I've noticed alot of profiles on this site that says that they only want to date this group of people, not into that group of people, ect., so isn't that the same thing as labeling? Or is it worse? In my honest opinion, having preferences is about equavalent as labeling people, due to the fact that one judges a book by its cover instead of getting to know the person for who they really are. Not labeling, but as I had said before, lots of us gays (and some bi's as I had learned the other night from a not so pleasant induvidual- I'm only going by what they proclaim themselves on their profiles)can be quite discriminitory about who we seek as sexual partners. And I'm not saying that I'm innocent of this myself, but my question is, why are we so against labeling but not against preferences when it seems very similar to labeling? Of course this is just my opinion, but I'm interested in everybody's opinion on this matter.

Don't confuse yourself or others Dec 11, 2011 12:09 pm

If there is one thing that gets me very confused is straight guys that act like they don't like gay/bi guys, but yet some steadily pursue them. I mean, how would a straight guy still call himself straight if he's wantiing another man? Wouldn't that make him at least bi? It's already bad enough that gays and bi's are at the bottom of society's barrel and most of us don't give a shit one way or another, but why do some straight guys do that? That's like me saying that I'm gay but yet I pursue women. Shouldn't I be bi instead? Wtf?

Don't get me wrong, I like our hetero counterparts, but some either seemed to be confused or in denial about themselves. Case in point: I was once on another site which will remain nameless, had my pics up and everything. Here I was expecting gay and bi dudes to holla at me, but the majority of the guys claimed to be straight, but yet, they would leave me messages saying how hot I was and what they would like to do with me sexually (not to say that I didn't enjoy it, I did alot!). So I just sit back and scratch my head at this. They know that I'm a gay man, and their profiles would say that they were looking for women, so why are you trying to get with me? I mean, I don't look fem or womanly (nothing wrong with that either). This has always boggled my mind, and before I decided to stop going on that site, I had more straight guys on my ass than gay guys, which I must admit us gay guys can be very discriminatory when it comes checking out others, and bi guys, are not even close to being discriminatory about who they choose as long as that guy can make his cock stand at attention.

When I use to be a frequent clubber at the gay clubs, I'd get hit on by some gay guys, but it was mostly bi guys that were in hot pursuit. Then, all of a sudden, straight guys were frequenting gay clubs, and once again, some were all over me heavily! My friends were puzzled about this as much as I was, but there were no complaints from me, since most of the straight guys were very hot that had conversated with me, and I wound up getting at least 6 of their phone numbers, and at least 4 of them I had sexual relations with. So that brings me back to this question-would they be considered straight still?
