It is not okay to be gay. Being gay is outrageously wonderful. I love being gay. The shape the feel of my man's body still thrills and fills me. Having the strong arms around me is amazing. Holding hands making out. Having hot sex is all great. But one of the essential ingredients is that sharing a common experience. He truly knows how I feel. He understands what it is like to blow a load. The first hand experience factor is so important. I know and he knows how good it feels to get sucked. Together we share a bond, in other ways. The feelings we both went through in adolescences, The lonely teen years, the process of finding some one at last and realizing we were not alone.
Being gay is a wonderful gift, A gift that gives a perspective for two people to truly understand each other, a common ground, and experience both mentally and physically.

Well are vampires a metaphor for gay men? Hm mm. Eternal youth. Seduction of the innocent. Come to life after the sun goes down. Maybe not or maybe so.
I did read, or more likely watch. That the X-men movies were a gay metaphor. A memorable line "Can't you try just not being a mutant" I love the movies and who doesn't have a crush on Huge Jackman. Grrr.
I also like that Dumbledore is gay. Reading Harry Potter, (yes a guilty pleasure) I found deeply different interpretations of the the characters when I add that into the equation. For instance Professor Mcgonall is a fag hag.
Any way just having fun

I just wanted to share a movie that I thought was great. Shelter a movie about coming of age and surfing. I am becoming a huge fan a TLA releasing. I would love to see a main stream movie that is a true gay romance that has a happy ending like this movie does. Broke back was indeed breakthrough. My other favorite was a film called my own private idaho with river phonex and keenau reeves. I also recently ran across a film called johns on you tube. Nice movie tragic end. Then there is the talented MR Ripley, Matt Dammons gay movie. Great flick tragic end. I guess I am longing for a sincere sweet roMANtic movie. I love the movie Sabrina. The remake with Harrison Ford and Greg Kinnear. I would like to see something like that only with well played male actors as the star crossed lovers.
I will say there has been great strides on network television even soaps now have started to have gay romance story lines. Probably the best way to save the genre. I was also and still am a huge fan of queer as folk. I see acceptance as the holy grail of gay life. The defeat of gay marriage in Maine last fall was a blow to that goal. Perhaps it will take longer but I do see that compared to years ago there are many more open gay role models for young people and of course the web changed the world.

The Vote in Maine

Gay Marriage is coming to a vote in Maine. I for one am not a fan of marriage. I have never seen the need for Gay Marriage.
BUT WOW DID I CHANGE MY MIND
The debate heats up and I see now that it is not so much about being married as moving toward acceptance. It is a matter a civil rights. The argument to protect marriage is laughable really. Protect families Really from What? The historical similarities to the civil rights movement are clear. The laws about marriage between races. Separate but equal crap, ie domestic partnerships. There is so much hate-red out there and people want to express love. And when I hear one more hetero puke out "what's next are people going to marry their dogs" I will snap. So the measure will be defeated and Maine will have Gay Marriage and our state slogan will be ever so true. "maine the way life should be"

It has rained for what seems like 4 ever. Hence I am ignoring the weeding that needs to be done in my overgrown garden. I am logging in and having all sorts of fun here though.
