Well, I've recovered somewhat from the histrionics of last night (posted here- 'OMG! They Killed Smudgie! You Bastards!')- I was able to log onto my old handle this morning, although there's a message saying that my profile has been denied (I DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING IN MY FUCKING PROFILE!!), and I did get an email saying that I can now log in, but I really think the OP police are out to get me- of course, me being very neurotic and paranoid might add to that- anyway, this could be turned into a good thing- I never liked my username to begin with, and now I have one that fits me, and Bobby and I are now listed as a couple, so I can have him in my profile picture- I'm shutting down 'marks992', and you now will be able to find me at 'smudgepot', and I'll be blogging at smudgepot... sometimes, I can find the positive aspect in a negative situation, and this is it- fresh start...

So, anywho, if you enjoyed these postings in the past, follow me over to Smudgieville, and we'll all have a grand time together...

Take care, friends

Tiger and I got back from Lollapalooza yesterday, and took his friends Johnny K, Christine, and their alien son, Jay, to the airport today, and we're finally kickin' back, relaxin', enjoyin' 'sum down time, and reminiscing about the 'Most Absolutely Fabulous, Kick-Holy-Fuckin' Ass Weekend' we had in Downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue at the Essex Hotel, attending the Most Awesome Lollapalooza Music Festival...

Eh, it was OK...

No, seriously, I don't have the right word to express how perfect this weekend was- the weather was great, the music was fantastic, the company was the best, and the Chicago Skyline over the whole festival was breath-taking... no other way to describe it...

Bobby and I got's one more night together, then life gets back to normal for him tomorrow, and I'm going back Thursday for a couple days- 'get back to normal' slowly, and I'm kindof looking forward to it- 'cept I won't have my Tiger next to me... but he is off for the weekend, so, I got that going for me, which is nice...

Take care, friends- don't have much more to say at the moment, but I'm sure I'll come up with more stuff later on...

Just got home from Bobby's house- Elizabeth knows that we're goin' to Lolla this weekend- and I can't believe what she did for me!! (Firstly, you must understand, as much as I love her, she's not the most 'motivated' person in the world, when it comes to things like cleaning up stuff- it takes a ton of nagging on my part to get her to clean out the catbox, do the dishes, whatnot- she has her own 'list of priorities', and they rarely include cleaning anything)...

I gotta digress here, for a moment- a couple of weeks ago, I started hangin' a few pictures on the stairway walls- I've been here for 2 years, and the pictures have been sittin' in a closet- but I really wanted her graduation pictures up, and all the other ones- so, I got about 4 hung up, ran out of ideas where to put the others (or how to put them up, so they made sense- I didn't want to just, 'throw them up on the wall), and I asked for 'sum help from 'The Adult'... and they sat on the coffee table for the next couple of weeks...

Anyway, back to today- coming back from Bobby's, I notice that everyone's trash and recycles are out, and I'm wondering if Baby Girl remembered- I saw that the Recycle Man had been through, but the Sanitary Dude hadn't, so, I could put the trash out if she forgot... which is what I was 'kindof' expecting...

Pulled up to the house, everything is by the curb... 'Thank you, Elizabeth'... got in the house, put 'sum stuff down, and I notice that things are 'a bit different' in the living room... it's clean, for one!! Some pictures were rearranged, and I headed upstairs to thank her for that- and then I saw she had finished hanging all the pictures, vacuumed the stairs, cleaned every room in the house (save mine- but I never ask her to do that anyway)- and all the pictures on the wall looked perfect!!

Baby Girl, You Are The Bestest- thank you, Sweetheart!!

Yeah, I don't know why I did it, but I pulled out 'sum old pictures of the Baby Girl, and I was scanning them tonight- I should be paying attention to the Huge Brewers Vs. Cubs Series that's on the TV at the moment, but, since the Brewers are down 2-0, I guess I can post a horrible, terrible blog...

I'm wondering about sum' things- I asked Bobby this question today- he says it's my own fault- I seem to have garnered the image of a 'big lovable Dope' here, in blog world- I really don't mind it, I do feel Like A Dope most of the time- and I'm not changing anything about myself anytime soon, 'cuz Bobby seems to like me- but I do seem to come across as a big Dope- harmless, lovable Big Dope-

Wow- the Brewers just went up, 3-2; I love my Daughter first, Bobby second, and Baseball third...

Anyway, I wish I could post the pictures of my Baby, 'cuz I'm so proud of her, but I'll just post a picture of myself, when I was 'fairly hot-lookin'...

The Kid and I got Chinese the other night- I gave her one Fortune Cookie, and I took the other two- the first one I ate didn't have a message in it- what a gyp!!- the second one reads, 'Soon, someone will make you very proud.'

i'm not making that up- it's right in front of me right now

'I'm On Vacation!" Jul 26, 2008 7:48 am

2 weeks of Vacation started yesterday around 3:45 or so, when I got in my car to drive home, and I called Bobby- he answered, and I hollered, 'I'm on Vacation!' I hollered at Elizabeth, too, when I got home- 'Hey Elizabeth, guess what? I'm On Vacation!', and I'll most likely holler that at her a few more times- I haven't taken any time off since March '07 (snow storms don't count, dammit), and I'm really, really looking forward to this.

Tiger and I have really big plans for the next couple of weeks- he comes back Very Late Monday night, is off Tuesday, may work Wednesday, but Thursday Bobby's friend, Johnny K, is flying in from 'Joisey' with his wife and child, and we're going to Lollapalooza on Friday... 3 nights in Downtown Chicago, at the Essex (I think it's the Essex, it's close to the Hilton... Very Nice Hotel, anyway)- we leave for home Monday, take Johnny K back to the Milwaukee airport on Tuesday, and we may have time to see the State Fair while we're there- I sure hope we do-

In between all of this, I plan on spending a lot of time outside, enjoying my garden- enjoying the birds- my Oriental Lilies just opened a couple of days ago, and when the breeze comes through my bedroom window on the second floor, I can smell them- they're simply awesome

It's just going to be so perfect to have this time to spend with Tiger- to meet his friend from when he grew up- so perfect to get to know more about him

everyday it seems like our bond gets stronger- at least, for me it does, I've been Very Wrong Before- but I don't think I am this time

Take Care, Friends- time for sum' caffe...

‘What The F**k Have You Got Me Doin’ Now?! Jul 20, 2008 3:21 pm

A Very Pleasant Sunday Eve to all, I actually had an Extremely Nice Day- got a chance to chat and talk with Marky this morning (one of my bestest, and closest friends here, who's helped me through more issues over the last 2 years than I think he knows- May Buddha Bless You, Mr. Marky), I made sum' Perfect Bacon This Morning, along with sum' Perfect Eggs, and sum' Perfect Toast- along with sum' Perfect Cinnamon Hazelnut Caffe, and the day started out Grandly (although, I do know a dope who drinks instant coffee, and thinks that flavored coffee is for girls... WTF does he know anyway, he bought a Garmin!!... my bad...)

Also, this morning, whilst' waiting for the bacon to cook, I went outside to check on all my Friends in the Garden- and I have a New Friend!! I planted sum' Morning Glory Seeds around the end of May, it took them forever to come up, but after the weather we've been having lately (hot and humid- I luv's it) they've been 'kickin ass, and takin names'... so, of course, I had to take a picture of it- I just hope I'm allowed to post it...

I'm saving the Best Part of the Day for Last... Bobby called me last night, quite a few times, mostly in angst, because of having to deal with the Stupid Jimmy Buffet Fans (I said, 'Stupid Fans', not 'Stupid Jimmy Buffet'- I like Jimmy Buffet, in the right mood I enjoy his music- but I hate Stupid People, whether they be Stupid Brewer Fans, Stupid Cub Fans- there's a lot of those- Stupid Packer Fans- I just hate Stupid People...)

Anywho... Tiger told me that he was off Monday and Tuesday, and I started planning on a sleep-over for those days- cuz', that's what you do- but he surprised me yesterday, out of the blue, and asked me to come over this afternoon, 'cuz he didn't have to go to work until 3

and he wanted to see me

and do a small favor... my bad...

Some people have responded to the crap that I've written, telling me 'how lucky I am' to have him

trust me, i know-

bobby, you're one in a million

basically, the thing about being with tiger is- we're yin and yang- two sides complementing each other- without taking from the other- it's so nice, it's so peaceful

Shit, I really didn't want to write another 'I Love Bobby' post, but, there you have it- I had an idea in my head about what I wanted to say, but, it led here... fuck...

OK, I'm done, time to watch the Brewers- see you tomorrow, Tiger- take care, Friends!

Elizabeth got her first 'gig' this week, and I'm pretty excited about that- she got a call Monday to run the spotlight for the Janesville Performing Arts Center (JPAC) production of 'Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'... it doesn't pay, but it's good experience for her in the future- it'll be good for her resume... Little Baby Girl got her First Semester College Schedule of Classes a couple weeks ago, from UW-Whitewater- she's got an English class, a Math class, a Gen-Ed class (taking care of all the things that college requires), and 2 Theatre classes- seems Little Baby Girl is following the 'Theatre Bug', rather than the 'Art Bug'... I just hope she doesn't give up on her art, 'cuz I think she's very good at it...

I got to spend the night at Bobby's this week, twice actually- Tuesday and Wednesday night- we watched the All Star Game Tuesday, and that was nice- both of us are big baseball fans- but I couldn't watch the whole thing, having to work the next day- it was just damn nice to wake up next to him in the morning- I miss my Tiger- he's off this Monday and Tuesday, and I hope I get to see him both nights

I have another week of work, and then I'm off for 2 weeks, and I'm starting to get a bit excited about that- We gots' big plans- Thursday the 31st, one of Bobby's friends is flying in with his wife and little boy, and I gets' to meet them- we're going to Lollapalooza for the weekend, staying in a Very Nice Hotel in Downtown Chicago, and listening to sum' great music- I told the turd to take the week after Lolla off work, 'cuz it's State Fair Time, and I really hope we get to the State Fair as well- I luvs' the State Fair, I haven't been there in a couple of years- most memories of the State Fair are very pleasant, the last one wasn't. I hope he remembered to do that, and I hope he remembered to use his 'Hotel Miles' or whatever, to get us a room in Mille-Wau-Kay- I want to see the Domes, too...

Bobby sent me the pic for this blog- 'Smudgie the Pig in the Garden'... Bobby, you're a sweetheart, and I'm an ass- miss you, Tiger

'This Is WAY Too Close To 220 Volts!' Jul 13, 2008 6:55 am

Yeah, so, anyway, with all the rain that we've been having here, I've been noticing that my gutters needed cleaning- since the water tends to spill over the side of them, and since the gutter over the addition on the back of the house was still leaking water, on a beautiful Sunny Day... so, Carl thought that it would be a Very Fine Idea, Indeed, to go up on the roof, and clean them out (I haven't mentioned Carl in awhile- Carl is explained here 'Sum User-Definitions, and Other Fun Stuff...' )

I have a very nice extension ladder that Robin and I bought right after we got married- the Original House that we had is very similar to this one, a Sears House from 1920, 2 stories- she thought we should have a ladder for it, being the practical person that she is- me being a dope, I would've never thought of it... the ladder is about 70 lbs, or so- it's not that heavy, but it takes some gettin' used to, to get it upright (erected, you might say)... anyway, I was fine up on the porch roof, scurried up the ladder, runnin' all over the small roof, cleaning the gutters- then Carl decided that we should probably 'extend' the 'extension ladder', and check out the gutters on top

Should I mention now that I'm afraid of heights? Or at least, I don't like them- I don't like being up in the air, on a two story house... not one bit...

I did, however, manage to get the 'unwieldy contraption' over to the side of the house, missing the power lines, scurried up the ladder, and found A Ton Of Crap in the gutters, that I dug out with my trowel- then I noticed that it was very congested over by the power lines, and I could either move the ladder closer to the power lines, or get up on the roof, and clean them that way

Did I mention that my roof has a very steep pitch to it, about 45 degrees or so? I was up there once, about 2 years ago, hanging Christmas lights... I didn't like it... so, I decided to move the ladder closer to the 220

As I was up there cleaning, all I was thinking about was that this is way too close to 220... got that corner cleaned out, and then decided that, ya' know, I really should take a picture of this- this would make a good blog...

So, after resting a bit from that drama, I moved the ladder to the back, got the gutters cleaned out on the addition (sometime ago, someone put an addition onto this house, making the kitchen bigger, and putting in a first floor potty- I loves my first floor potty- in my first house, the only potty was on the second floor, which meant that I peed a lot outside, when I could- or in the basement drain... my bad)- then Carl again decided that we should extend the ladder, and check out the gutters in the back

Did I mention that I don't like heights?

So, I extended the ladder, got up to the roof in back, and started cleaning out those- I did some further exploring up there, and I saw the oddest thing on my roof... it looked like a very pale brown piece of crap, and I thought that I should see what it was- perhaps someone had thrown something up there- and then I thought, 'ya know, that could be the wasp or hornet's nest' (I got wasps and hornets hanging around here, and I don't know where their nest is- I may have just found it)- then I thought that I would much rather climb down the ladder in a calm fashion, not being chased by hornets...

After that, I had had enough- I spent the rest of my day on the ground, weeding and doin' sum' landscaping- I think that might be a good job for Bobby to do, next time he comes over- 'Hey, Tiger, let's get out the ladder- go see what that thing is on my roof, and clean out the rest of the gutters while you're up there, k?'

I'm way too delicate, and frail, to be doing that kind of shit anymore- maybe I'll hire one of Elizabeth's 'boiz' to do the job for me... ya' know, I've never thought of that before- one of the advantages to having a daughter is that she has boi-friends, and I can bribe them into doing shit that I hate doing... my bad...

You kids enjoy Your Sunday, I know I will- gonna start sum' kaffe, watch my ESPN shows, hope that Brett Favre goes away, and listen to the Brewers this afternoon... fuckin' losers...

Take care, all!!

'Another Glorious Weekend! (But No Tiger!)' Jul 12, 2008 7:36 am

I'm such an idiot- I just are- trying to wake my ass up to enjoy what looks like could be a glorious and beautiful Saturday- I need to start sum' kaffe...

Went outside to survey the damage from the latest round of thunderstorms here- we've had some doozies lately... I've been keeping Elizabeth the Hibiscus on the porch for the last couple of nights, but put her outside yesterday- I didn't know it was supposed to rain last night- woke up around 3 or so to P, and sure enough, it was pouring again- but Elizabeth the Hibiscus made it through the storm OK (I really don't know why I worry about that stuff- a Hibiscus is native to the South, and the Caribbean, and they have torrential downpours all the time- but, again, I am an idiot...)- oh, and I checked on Elizabeth the Adult, too- safe in her bed... I love my baby girl so much

I think I should make this a 'Read Only' Post, 'cuz it's so stupid and worthless- or I should just delete it

But I did want to post the picture of my lily that bloomed the other day- one of my miniature lilies, in the lily bed by the sidewalk, that I've been weeding out for weeks, and finally got done- mostly, anyway

You kids take care- Bobby, I really miss you

'I Am In Bamboo Heaven!!' Jul 8, 2008 4:47 pm

Yeah, this most likely will be short- I'm at The Bamboo House, In Delevan, WI, where the supper left a lot to be desired (the Bamboo-ites had promised a White Clam Sauce over pasta, however, when I got there, it seems that All The White Clam Sauce that could be found, was off- which left us with a very short supply of Red Marinara sauce- which was very good, however, in short supply)...

Anyway, supper was very nice, because the company was very nice- I am with my Bamboo God!! We 'wuz outside, but then the rain started to dump on us, so we 'scurried inside' for shelter- I'm just enjoying my Gevalia Kaffe right now, enjoying the company of Mr. Robert Bamboo, and we're gonna watch the Debut of CC Somebody for the Milwaukee Brewers (I don't even want to try to spell his name at this point... I'm on a Japanese laptop, and I just don't know how to work all the buttons, and whatnot...)....

Anyway- I'm in the bestest of moods, I am about 14" away from the Best Thing That Has Ever Happened To Me- I'm Happy, I Want To Shout From The Rooftops!!

Bobby, I'm staring at you now, and you don't even know it- GodDamn, You Are a Fantastic Man!! I am So Fucking Lucky!!

OK, my bad, I apologize- enough slobering...

Bobby, I love you so much- tonight is going to be soooooooooooo good...

Take care, friends, I hope I didn't make anyone puke 'cuz I went overboard...

Signed...
