Mouse Trap Nov 23, 2008 1:53 pm

Today as I was at the grocery store, I looked at mouse traps. They had some you never had to spring and the old fashioned types. My stomach turned, not from picturing the site of a dead mouse...but just the thought of ending it's life.

My outlook on these sort of things is this. Animals, mammals, and insects have been around longer then we have. We took away their homes, we simply invaded their territory.

Yes I know rodents carry diseases. Believe me for 6 months I will scrub my dishes in bleach water before I eat off them. My room ie scrubbed the stove down.

As for really naming the mouse that was done for comic purposes as was the cat wigging out. Some may call me a soft-ie, but I refuse to take the life of another living creature. Those who know me, knows this well.

I did buy a humane mouse trap and I will release the rodent back into the wild.

Every since I have had my digital camera, I have been snap happy. Taking pics of the sun and clouds to insects.

Out of 25 pictures, I may keep 10 or so. I am on my way to becoming quite the armature photographer.

So what hobbies do you have?

Mighty Hunter? Nov 22, 2008 11:54 am

The other night my dogs were going nuts by the garden tub. I took down off the side panels and didn't see any thing. So today I was standing by the stove and friggin mouse popped it's head from on of the burners! I was OMG! No I am not afraid of mice, so no I was not standing on a chair screeching!

I thought cats were mighty hunters, stalking bird, lizards, snakes, and rodents. Not mine, hell he probably thinks the mouse is suppose to be there. I can picture the darn cat jumping onto the dinning room table...screaming omg omg omg it came at me!

Now the real problem is how to catch the uninvited house guess and let Herbert go into the woods? Yes I named the furry little rodent! Sorry I just can't kill the poor creature and no I don't want it as a pet.

Well at least I know my heart is still working LOL.

Awww Touches The Heart Nov 21, 2008 1:53 pm

Well since the holidays are fast approaching, the comericals for the grocery stores are airing.

There is one were three families are about to eat dinner, one person from each family stands and tells his/her family what they are thankful for. There are some funny moments, but I always tear up.

One commerical that has not aired yet shows a young doctor on his way home talking to him mom, he is telling here how much he wishes he could be home at Christmas time. Well when he unlocks his door, to his surprise his family is there and has cooked a feast...yes all teary eyed again.

You know it's not just commericals, but I watch the Ellen show. I am either crying from laughing so hard or crying because of her generosity.

Character Flaw? Nov 21, 2008 1:29 pm

One morning some friends and I were talking about our personalities.

I made the comment that I believe there is goodness in all of humanity, some have just had difficult lives and built walls to keep from getting hurt. In doing so they push people away, afraid to let their guard down.

I see myself as a very caring and trusting person, and yes I have been used because of it. Yet I am bound and determined not to change.

I look at life this way, we are all different and for a reason. We complement each other characteristics. We all have our flaws, but that is what makes us unique.

So as I often thought I had a character flaw, I don't. I am me a very loving, good natured, and one sexy redhead!

So would I change one thing about me if I could? Hmmmmm
Just my shoe size LOL

What would you change about yourself?

A Trip Down Memory Lane Nov 16, 2008 3:47 pm

A few weeks ago, my guy and I were strolling around Wal-Mart. Where we came across a display of train sets. I told him that I needed to buy one and related this story to him.

My dad had built a train track when we lived in California. My brothers and I would gather around as the train went my villages and mountains. Sadly when we moved, the train set stayed behind.

After many years, my dad bought a train set to go around the Christmas Tree.

It's amazing how items can bring back memories.

Just Some Things... Nov 15, 2008 8:29 pm

Just some things that I am thankful for...

I am thankful for the friendly banter I share each day with my friends and co-workers.

I am thankful for the friends that I have had a chance to meet in person, and thankful for the ones I have yet to meet.

I am thankful for my friends who are not afraid to tell me what I need to hear, instead of what I want to hear.

I am thankful for the friends from the past, the present and the friends to be made in the future.

I am thankful for the love and support of my family, whom without their support I would not be where I am today.

I am thankful for my health, job and roof over my head; and I pray for those who are struggling.

I am thankful for my beloved pets, who love without condition and enrich my life in so many ways.

I am thankful for the special guy I have in my life, whom I miss with each passing day and can't wait to be in his arms once more.

I am thankful for my house mate, a very beloved and special man...a brother to me.

I am thankful for the time I got to know and spend with Jake554, whom was called Home.

I am thankful for all that my dad taught me, the love he had for not only me but his family, and his strength that lives on.

If I had to choose between money and friends, friends would win hands down. As they say, money doesn't buy happiness. When the money is spent, friends last a lot longer.

So in closing, I am thankful for all those who read my blogs and comment. My friends, as your travel this up coming holiday season may you travels be safe regardless if you travel across the globe, town, or across the street.

May you cherish the time spent with loved ones and friends, and tell them how much they mean to you and what you are thankful for.

As my birthday is about to arrive a friend sent me the following in an email:

As I Mature...

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just buttholes.

I've learned that it takes years to build trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better have a big willy or huge boobs.

I've learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you're finished.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others-they are more screwed up than you think.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had been better be a lot of money to take it's place!

I've that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away.
