Tired Of Being Lonely

I know I am a rather attractive guy who has a lot to offer. The million dollar question is why am I still single? What am I doing wrong? Am I extremely too honest?
I am tired of being lonely. If I meet someone that pays me any attention, then I start to fall for him. Thus I end up pushing him away.
I know I am that I will find someone, it just gets frustrating.

The picture posted was taken at Sweet-water Creek State park here in Georiga. The New Manchester Mill was burnt down during the Civil War.
As each brick in the building can tell a story, so can each of us. We may be tattered and scarred, but we are living testaments. As the motar holds the bricks together, our lives are intertwined. Our lives may not be penned nor monuments built in our honor, but out footsteps mark the path for another person's journey.

Yesterday, one of the water lilies started to open. Today the flower is maybe 1/2 of the way open. Here is a picture that I took this morning.

Water Garden

When we lived in Alabama, my dad and I worked on a small water garden/pond. He bought one of those preformed ponds and we dug the hole several times. My dad built a rock water fall but it didn't work out so he removed it. I have enjoyed water gardens/ponds because of the tranquility they provide.
I have four small water gardens. Two of them are on my front deck and the other two are in the flower beds. The two on the front deck have water lilies and should be blooming soon. The other two have water hyacinths, I am not sure when they will bloom.
I took a galvanized tub and spray painted it to prevent rusting. The other one is a fiberglass flower pot without a drainage hole. The containers for the hyacinths are flower pots where I plugged the drain holes with silicone caulking.
If you like water gardens/ponds, then go for it. They aren't all that difficult to make. You can buy water lilies for around $10 and the hyacinths were around $3.50. The hyacinths multiply fast so for small containers one is all you would need. Once the blooms on the water lilies open I promise to share the pictures.

May God bless our troops and bring them safely home.

Reminiscing

Last night the guy I had a date with sat reminiscing about our childhood adventures.
My mother and step-dad lived in Tucson while my grandparents lived in Green Valley Arizona. During summer visits with my mother, I would spend part of the time with my grandparents. I would wonder the desert catching horny toads.
Their next door neighbor had a small vegetable garden growing in the back of their trailer. I would help Lottie catch grasshoppers, which she would grind up and spray on her plants. I asked her why, she said that other grasshoppers would stay away since they could smell the dead bugs.
Lottie's husband made a wooden truck along with some wooden blocks that he cut into triangles for me. The blocks were hanger doors for my metal airplanes or garage doors for my match box cars. I would play with the truck for hours.
A short time later John died from complication of emphysema. Lottie lived there for awhile before moving in with one of her children. We kept in contact with each other for awhile.
I still have the truck, the blocks lost along the way. Now I use it as a door stop. I have thought about sending it to my nephew, just not sure yet.
Do you have anything laying around the house that takes you back in time?

I watched an episode of Monk in which Monk meets a prospective client that has leprosy. His assistant Natalie meets a doctor that had leprosy and is now cured. Both Monk and Natalie freak out. If any of you haven't watched Monk, Monk is a detective with compulsive disorder.
So my question to you is this. You go on a date and during the course of the date he says I have __________. Do you freak out or remain calm?
I would remain calm, why over react?

My uncle sent me an email with the following at the end of the email:
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.

Ok as many of you know I get all giddy at finding cool things to take pictures of. I don't always know what to title the pictures, other than maybe flower, etc.
Well today I found two anoles amongst my rose bushes. One I named Jorge. Jorge has a pink dewlap under his mouth which he displayed for me, but the picture turned out blurry.
So to the contest, I named the photo sun-bright diner. Because the rose is named sun-bright and Jorge was eating when I disturbed his afternoon meal. One friend suggested "resting on a bed of rose petals".
What suggestions do you have?
