So as I might've blogged aboot, I think that moi neighbor has a bit of a crush on The Zill. He's married and has a small child or a baby chimp, so it is unlikely to end up with us making the sign of the double-backed beast with two horns and four eyeballs.
But otherwise he seems like a fun awesome critter - plus he's cute and talented: he sent moi links to his music; and we've befriended each other on a social networking site, so 'tis nice to meet someone like hisself, elf.
Anywho, I was thinking about married men on the downlow, as they are called in homolingo, and I've had a few of those creatures. So there are some folks who'd say that any relationship that doesn't result in wedding bells and staring endlessly into each other's eyes for 70 years is a waste of time or not a real relationship.
Surprisingly, this stance gets moi contrarian dander up and at 'em, because I'm the sort who views moi experiences with married men as relationships that were as awesome in their own way as a more heteronormatively stereotypical relationship, and I got a great deal from them and learned alot about moiself in a relatively low pressure sort of way.
So it was exciting and a bit dangerous and whompalicious, even though at this point I'm not really into that sorta thing ~ but seldom say ne'er, because ne'er is a loooooooooooooong time. And there's something howlingly sexy about a heteronoramtive straightlaced guy, and of course one can't wank off exclusively to ribald fantasies involving a workboot clad Eeebz playing hide the Canookian bacon with a gaggle of broke frat boys who'll go gay for pay, eh?
Whew! That's pretty much all I feel like writing on this subject at this point, but maybe I'll thunk of something else. In the meanwhilst, I'll upload two more ZillaFilms: these are parts 3 and 4 to the ZillaFilms I took by Husky Stadium and Lake Washington - the first one is set to the music of ELO and contains lots and lots of Zillayakking, and some of it 'twas inspired. The other one is set to the music of Matchbox 20, and this is moi fave tune from Rob and Co. ~ and at least two o'er bloggers have referenced this tune recently, so this makes it a nice trio, eh? The other great thing about this ZillaFlick is that it features footage of a float plane that I filmed going underneath Montlake Bridge and oot oot and aboot into Lake Washington, though I didn't capture it taking off But 'tis still the usual high-quality ZillaMovie, so you'll be thrilled and zilled, eh
Smooches, Z
[note to OPers: you can find vids by using following search term: kcbronwnz seattle - on that channel where folks post vids } Oh: but I will post a bit of sunset p0rn just to show I'm all that and a bucket of chips, pips

Jesus Fucking Christ

The beautiful and uplifting title of this blog is prolly not going to win moi the votes of certain critters who're on the fence vis-a-vis being a full blown Zillaphile, but 'tis a lovely title to moi.
And this title is based on an image that ThorRex's posted on one of moi blogs portraying Jesus fucking Christ - i.e.: Jesus Christ was having sex with Jesus Christ, and to no one's surprise it turns out he was both a top and a bottom; of course in those days they didn't even have such a concept as top or bottom, because everyone was so wild and depraved that they gave up in trying to classify sexuality because 'twas a gargantuan task.
Oh yes: I am still on flu medication, why do you ask?
Anywho, I was thinking about how some folks will often say "go fuck yourself!" as an insult of sorts; but if one really considers it seriously, it comes across as a fairly postive sentiment ~ at least in moi case I would love love love to fuck moiself, although sadly enough I don't have a realistic sex doll or a clone of moiself.
So that's perfectly normal, right? I mean, it seems logical that folks would want to have sex with themselves given the chance, or how could one expect anyone else to want to have sex with them? Am I missing something?
Anywho, in other news: I bought a vegan apple fritter, and I gotta say that 'tis the BEAST {to steal a LibRex~ism} and OMZ if I ever meet someone like moi I'll be able to bribe him into having sex with the offer of such a delicacy, 'tis that good.
AND: that's it! A blog about food and sex, and orange youse glad youse tuned in yet again? Anywho, LOers: today's video features more herky jerky camera work and ZillaYakkityYak so steer clear if'n your allergic to this stuff, tough.

For whatever reason I have not really been in a blogging sort of mood lately ~ and of course building ZillaMovies is the likely culprit, because I think of building them as similar to writing in terms of being an outlet for expression ~ as I've also likely stated I also think of cycling, running or other such enterprises as a form of self-expression and outlet for creativity.
Regardless, words and language are something I've always been drawn toward, and in terms of an outlet for creativity I think of writing as being like moi mum and other forms of expression as being like a husband: I will always love moi mum, and if I had a husband I'd love him - but one can always cheat on a husband or divorce him.
I stole that idea from author Marjane Satrapi, who wrote the brilliant wonderful awesome "Persepolis" - she was equating Iran to her mother and France to a husband, and I thought that was a pretty cool way of looking at things. For those of youse who read graphic novels, you prolly recognize Marjane's name, because she's a towering figure amongst graphic novelists - and for those who don't read graphic novels, "Persepolis" is a nice introduction to the genre for those who think of them as being the exclusive domain of superheroes and whatnot ~ the genre runs quite deep, and there's some stories that I think work best with pictures and images - or just pictures, actually: in terms of a wordless graphic novel, Shaun Tan's "The Arrival" is rather breathtaking in portraying being a stranger in a strange land.
Anywho, in other news I need to get oot oot and aboot because I've been battling a flu virus or something and have been knocked oot a little; 'tis a cloudy day in Seattle and this is kinda moi fave weather if I'm feeling run down - I am light sensitive and sometimes sunshine can be rather menacing, though o' course I also love baskin' in the sun or hitting the beach on a sunny day, because that's fairly yummy.
Oh, and on LO I will post a ZillaFilm that I built whilst cycling two Friday's ago: it's all veddy raw and rough, but as you know the Zill nevah evah does nothing nice and easy, RUFF RUFF RUFF! Smooches, Z

Love in Bloom

This is a short story that was inspired {ripped off might be more accurate, but whatEV} by one of moi LO peeps with the moniker Library_KnightRex ...
"Go ahead and laugh, but I love him!"
"Oh really now: it's a HIM? Oh that's rich, so very rich! You're putting us on!" Manda burst forth with her peculiar laugh that had earned her the secret scorn of all who came in contact with her.
"IT is a HE, and his name is Fred! And let's face it: he is no more prickly than certain pricks who shall remain nameless," Elkay stormed from the room leaving his coworkers mouths gaping like rainbow trout who'd been stunned with several blows to the head - which to his eyes was kinda how they looked anyway.
OK, he had overreacted a bit, because they couldn't be expected to understand; and he wasn't sure that he understood himself : in love with a cactus? A week ago he would have thought the idea ridiculous and absurd; but of course he had enough noggin to know that his conceptions and preconceptions are often misconceptions.
So in one fell swoop he had come out as both a homosexual and an … botanicasexual? There ought to be a word for it, and perhaps there was an advocacy group he could join ~ though he hoped the ribbon wasn't too garish. So now: what to do? Should he go back and apologize to restore the peace or stick to his guns and let them come to him? Or what if the word got back to the big cheese and he was fired for creating such a ruckus? The big cheese - geez, she actually expected to be addressed as such. Whackjobs everywhere!
Elkay grimly decided to let them come to him, because he'd be damned to Hell before he'd give in and let their sneery and snarkiness pass by this time; besides, he'd heard Hell wasn't so bad once one got used to the heat: and the heating bills were minimal. Plus, there was an all you care to eat buffet, and they served bread pudding.
Later that evening after a tense afternoon in which his coworkers skittishly skirted around him as if he were a Mormon trying to convert them, Elkay picked Fred up and headed for the elevator. Fred was a rather largish cactus, and a bit heavy for Elkay, though he was determined not to indicate this to his coworkers, who studied him surreptitiously out of the corners of eyes and over the tops of cubicles. The usual end of the day gauntlet with a bit of added tension from his previous outburst which lingered like the smell of those microwaved meals in the lunchroom.
As soon as the elevator doors closed behind him, Elkay felt the tension unfurling and lifting away, and he set Fred down and patted him lightly - very lightly. So, here he was: In love with a cactus. He had no real clue what this entailed, or how this sort of relationship would be consumated, but what he'd said earlier to his coworkers had a siren ring of truth: Fred was no more prickly than certain pricks he'd dealt with. But still, there was so much uncharted territory to navigate - it wasn’t like there were dozens upon dozens of books written about such relationships, such as the ones written about loving inanimate objects such as boulders or luggage. Why was it so much more acceptable to love inanimate objects than animate objects? Probably it was some sort of fear: because if one loved an animate object, that might lead to loving other people - and as advanced as their civilization had become in many respects, there were still people who fell in love with other people. Naturally, it was something anyone in their right mind went to great lengths to avoid or to hide, except for those rebellious types who were always flaunting such primitive and uninhibited behaviour.
Well at least he wasn't one of those sorts of people. Prior to falling in love with a cactus, the most outrageous thing Elkay had fallen in love with was a toaster - but that had been met with amusement rather than disgust.
Elkay hefted Fred down into the tunnel and happened to catch the train just before it left. Close call, or he would have had to wait for 20 minutes, and the next train was notoriously late and overcrowded. This train was relatively deserted - it was amazing what a difference 20 minutes could make sometimes, he mused. Elkay spotted two seats near the rear of the car, and hurried to stake his claim, although he needn't have bothered given that there were plenty of empty seats and most everyone had already settled in comfortably. But he wanted those particular seats, because that side of the train had the best view, and he wanted this night to start off special. After stowing his backpack in the overhead bin, he gently put Fred down and tenderly bucked his seatbelt so that if there was a sudden stop he would not crash to the floor.
Settling in himself, Elkay gingerly touched Fred's thorns one by one and gazed out the window as the train made its way out of the tunnel and into the dusky landscape where the setting sun cast long shadows and the city lights were twinkling into life.

During moi morning run I decided not to take moi ZillaCamera, because 'tis been getting in the way of moi getting to where I need to git in a timely manner ~ but I knew that I'd regret it bigtime, and so 'twas.
Part of moi morning run was around Greenlake, and for the most part the sights were pretty much ones I can capture on any given day, and the light wasn't particularly spectacular, so that was great. But then I came upon a tree that was decorated with paper hearts and various other stuff, and I got closer and noticed 'twas a Valentine for the tree, because the hearts spelled out: "We Love You Tree."
And even though I'm not really big on the la-di-da associated with this holiday, I thought this was sweet and worthy of an "awwwwww, how cute" ~ e'en though I thunk such phrases should be used sparingly, eh?
So I missed a photo and video opportunity, although I might yet peddle moi keister o'er there later this afternoon and capture it up, pup; because if life isn't captured on film, who does one knwo if one exists Think about it, eh Smooches, Z
Btw: this image is from moi latest ZillaMovie featuring the Fremont Troll who lives under the Aurora Bridge.

Lonesome Dove

Hallo everyone; apologies for not getting to moi blog comments, but then again I kinda subscribe to the idea that one shouldn't apologize, they just shouldn't do it again - although I likely WILL do it again, so I'll split the difference and unapologize, word to the wise.
Well then, I finally Finnished Larry McMurty's "Lonesome Dove" the other day, and just had to write about it 'cuz 'twas a book that is awesomepossum. Prolly all of moi peeps have read this book, 'cuz 'tis a hugely popular book, and it won the Pulitzer Prize: and of course the mini-series was also quite popular. I actually couldn't get into the mini-series, and I was a bit put off by how many times the word "whore" was used. But having read the book, I might tackle the mini-series at some point.
So Lonesome Dove is a bit of a revisionist western, and features several finely detailed characters and richly described settings. There were parts that I skimmed over, which mostly involved the action sequences ~ though many folks would likely find those the most engaging part of this book. I tend to read mostly for characters, and McMurty is a writer who excels as creating interesting, complex and unique characters ~ and he does so with both male and female characters, which isn't something all writers can pull off: f'rinstance, John D. MacDonald, who wrote the Travis McGee series, is horrible at writing female characters and even though I like his books, there are moments in his books that are eye-rollingly bad.
Anywho, 'tis not really a book that I'd suggest for everyone, 'cuz everyone has their own tastes; and I find it funny when folks say stuff like "everyone should see this movie/book/play" because it seems remarkably shortsighted and self-centered; but then again I'm remarkably shortsighted and self-centered, so there ya go. Nonethelest, Lonesome Dove is a book that has many appealing qualities, and it's not just for folks who like getting lost in a big fat book about the Old West.
So that's moi post, and I'll try to get to your comments as soon as Zillaly possible, but the sun's oot oot and aboot, and I'd best hit the trail podners, 'cuz the ZillaBike3-D ain't been rode hard and put away wet in a coon's age! Smooches, Z

~ city of snow ~

As many o' youse might've heard through the grapevine, Seattle has been having a 'snowpocalypse,' although having lived in Alaska and Lake Tahoe the snowfall here seems relatively mild. But there's been roads closed, accidents, schools and businesses closed, planes delayed and power outages so in that sense even though it doesn't look like Snowmaggedon, it has been such.
Anywho, I went running in the snow yesterday, and I don't think I've fun on actual snow since Alaska, which was about 20 years ago. And I started off with the idea that I would just do a couple of miles, but ended up running about 7, because it was kinda nice to run when the trail is relatively deserted, although the folks who were oot oot and aboot looked like something outta a post-apocalytic story ~ I'd read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" last year, and its stuck with moi all this time.
So I also went oot oot and aboot later that day on the hunt for some cookie mix at Grocery Outlet, and decided to take the bus; and the bus was having trouble getting up the hill, and the driver couldn't stop at a couple of stops on the way up, because apparently if she did the bus wouldn't've gotten rolling again. Anywho, we made it up, and I got moi cookie mix ~ Aunt Jemima's chocolate chip cookie mix: who knew that racist icon was still shilling it up, pup? So on the bus ride back, i remembered that I had the ZillaCamera with moi, and started snapping scenes of the streets that have names, e'en though I don't know their names; and then it struck moi: the ZillaCamera takes videos! So I took a series of videos of the ride home, and they'll likely end up in a ZillaMovie ~ and actually 'twould be one I could just dash off unlike the one I'm building of moi adventures in Seattle Public Library, which has taken more time than I've got, robot. Actually, the fourth and final part is in the final stages, and I could actually call it done and move on, but I want to add some transitions and different pans and scans and yadayadayada. However, part four does feature actual video of scenes I shot in downtown Seattle, and includes footage taken whilst riding ZillaBike3-D downhill toward the site where I met up with HH suddenly last summer.
Anywho, I made it back to the ZillaCondo in one piece, and in the early evening hours I built some ZillaCookies, which consists of a some of the cookie mix, cardamom, olive oil and a bit of water; I leave the eggs out 'cuz I'm vegan, and I don't think it makes any difference, does it? The cookie dough is actually better raw than baked, but then again warm cookies and coffee on a snowy evening are rather heavenly. Whoops, apologies to moi fellow atheists for using the "h" word, but I s'pose that since I'm in the club I can use such fowl language without apologies, so if'n youse're offended, suck it ya preechy screetchy knuckleheads! Ugh, I often feel like I'm more of a Christian or religious type than folks who profess to be such a type, but perhaps one reason some folks turn to religion is 'cuz they're trying to strive toward something or other or feel they're lacking in some department; it's kinda like how some folks think having babies or finding 'the one' will complete them; the psychoological sages and such call these default identities, which is about striving for the status quo; and I'm all about the status quo seekers, 'cuz without 'em there wouldn't be folks on the margins of the status quo such as moiself to lob the occasional stone at 'em and howl with insane laughter, yer.
Ugh, this blog has taken a turn for the douche, so I'll bid ya'll adieu and see youse when I see youse, Z

Hey gang,
the Zill's been a bit missing in action from this site lately, but here I am trying to git 'er done, son. Anywho, as I've been building videos lately, and so I'm going to cut and paste the blog I wrote on the other site sans the videos I uploaded, which is kinda nice in a way 'cuz that means the blog is less crowded with all that Zilla. So here 'tis, and now I'm going to try to get to the comments ya'll've left for moi, smooches, Z
A few days ago there was an unusually spectacular sunset in Seattle, and I was lucky to be in a great spot to capture it on the ZillaCamera: the University of Washington. And it didn't start off as a sunset montage, because I was originally just going to capture a few shots of UW [or You Dub, as 'tis called], but then I happened to notice that the sun setting was creating a stunning display of light.
Anywho, now that I've started taking pictures of Seattle, I've been noticing things with slightly different eyes; and there are so many images I couldashouldawoulda captured, and that I have captured ~ in addition to this series of photos, I've built three other movies that all turned out so long that I've spilt 'em up into 3 or 4 parts. The one I'm working on currrently is a Zillaesque tour of the Seattle Public Library downtown branch that was designed by Rem Koolhaas ~ and I've spilt that one into at least four parts.
Then I snapped almost a zillion photos of our snow day in Seattle on Sunday, and that one ended up being at least four parts. And yesterday's photos will likely be made into another three parter. Oh, and I want to go back and reuse some of the other movies I've build with different music and different effects, so 'tis the case that most of it will not see the light o' the innerwebs, and isn't it always the case that I have too many things I want to do than time and energy? A blessing and a curse all wrapped up in an enigmatic riddle.
So Seattle is a bounty of images that makes moi wish I knew what I was doing; and I often feel as if I'm traipsing about in a post-modern Maxfield Parrisheque landscape, especially at the transitional time of sunset. Sunrises tend to be less spectucular, 'cuz 'tis often overcast, although that has charms of its own. Anywho, the thing I try to capture most in moi photos is the paradoxes, extremes and contrasts of the city, and the coexistence of beauty and ugliness, life and death, sacred and profane, wealth and poverty and la-di-da.
Anywho, I'm waiting for the vids to upload so I can post 'em here, and I'll describe 'em a bit. The first one is set to Stevie Nicks' "Silver Springs," and it is pretty much the same as the one set to the music of Paul Simon, but shorter ~ and there's a few transitions and photo effects that are different. I'd been going to use "Gypsy" as a song, and it would've worked beautifully, but I didn't have the version I wanted uploaded to moi computer.
So I decided to use Faith No More's "Epic" for another version, because I've always loved this tune and it should be on moi Seattle playlist ~ I'm going to add it to moi MP3 player so I can have it as a soundtrack for when I run run run moi booty off. So with this version, I played around with the images to make 'em fit the tune, and I love the results ~ and as a result this version has fewer retouched images. Oh, speaking of running: on half of the morning run I went in the reverse direction that I usually run, and as a result I noticed that there's a place where the sidewalk merges into an actual railroad track and reemerges as a sidewalk. So this made moi think about all the traces of long forgotten faces, and alas I didn't have moi camera this morning, so I didn't get to capture those photos, but 'twill be captured at some point ~ and I wonder if I have time to get a few shots before the sun sets?
So there ya have it: three for the price of three, and they're all very different yet eggzactly alike. Anywho, the last is being uploaded and then I can get back on the ZillaBike3-D and head home, 'cuz the sun's going down and 'twill be chilly chilly chilly on the evening ride home. Anywho, hope all is awesome with ya'll if you deserve awesomeness, and even if you don't deserve it I still hope you get it, 'cuz once you get a taste of bein' awesome you'll realise that 'tis worth striving for, and you can quit striving toward blechiness [that last sentence doesn't apply to the usual suspects in ZillaLand ~ just so there's no bruised feelings]. Smooches, Z
